As much as 'Regal would like to promote some fantastic Luxury Rabbit Hutch's we are sorry to say that we are unable to source any manufactured rabbit hutches which are a suitable size.  Infact we have had a problem finding ones that are even water tight or do not 'rot-out' within 1year of you purchasing it.  We hope to have rectified this problem by 2008 when the new legislation forces companies to make more acceptable rabbit accomadation.  Until this happens we would recomend that you have your hutches made by a private hutch company.

We hope this information helps.

Accommodation

It is a long time gone since it was accepted that the family rabbit lived in a box at the bottom of the garden, or is it?   Unfortunately it is not, many rabbits are still suffering in inadequate housing.

Rabbits are very social animals and a cramped box is about as far away as you could get from their natural environment.  Animal welfare organisations and the tireless campaigning from Rabbit Welfare charities has finally convinced the powers that be that this is truly unacceptable.

A new code of practice set to be enforced in 2008 states that a medium sized single rabbit should be housed in a hutch no smaller than 4ft x 2ft x 2ft which should include extra, suitable secure outside space(or run).

Take your time to look for the right hutch for you and your rabbit(s)

If your fully grown rabbit is unable to stand up or lye down fully stretched out, your accommodation is too small.   It should always have shelter from the elements and plenty to do to stop them getting bored.

Remember, that cute baby bunny will grow 4 times its size in the first 3-4 months of it’s life and some breeds even more.    Please be aware of what you are buying.

All hutches should be fox proof with bolted (not twist latches) doors and be treated with rabbit friendly stains and wood treatment.

If in doubt about the size of your hutch simply... THE BIGGER THE BETTER
